Request plan review to build or update MFF

Do I need a plan review?

You must request a plan review from our office if any of the following applies to your mobile food facility (MFF):

  • I want to build a new MFF.
  • I want to remodel or update my MFF. This includes new equipment installation. For example, if you want to update your menu and you need new equipment as a result.
  • My MFF has never been permitted by an Environmental Health jurisdiction in California.

Required Documentation

Start with the MFF plan check requirements for assistance in assembling your plan review packet. Do not build or make changes to your MFF until your proposal is approved by this office.

Once you are ready, submit the following items in person at our office or email them to us at [email protected].  If your submittal is complete, an invoice will be generated and sent to you.  Incomplete packets will not be reviewed.

Once the invoice is paid, your project will be assigned for review.  You will be notified of the results of the review and the next steps.  Sometimes, additional information or changes to the design may be required before approval can be issued from our office.
